A system for managing
which is available to you with a new website
Our user-friendly Content Management System (CMS) allows you to quickly and easily update your site’s content, keeping your site up-to-date and responsive to changes in your business.
If you can use Microsoft’s Word, then you’ll have no problems in using our CMS. It’s simple, yet powerful user interface follows some of Word’s interface, with text formatting buttons, buttons for adding images and a simple process for adding hyperlinks.
We’ll set up a site-wide stylesheet, that will ensure you have a consistent font across all pages of your site, but with flexibility to choose bold, italic fonts or larger heading fonts where you need it.
And if there’s something you need that our CMS doesn’t have, we’ll build it for you!
Edit copy, change images, add new pages
Modifying or adding copy to a page is easy – navigate to the page, make your changes and click ‘save’. Your changes will be immediately published to your live site. No more waiting for your web designer to get round to making those small changes you require!
And if you want to add or change an image on a page, that’s easily done too.
The CMS will also enable you to add or remove whole pages, dynamically amending the site navigation as appropriate.
Search engine friendly
All CMS pages contain text boxes for you to add meta data such as titles, descriptions and H1 tags. The whole of the CMS is designed to be search friendly and indexable by search engines.
The CMS is accessible via your main URL, so it’s always available to you, no matter where you are (so long as you have Internet access!). Multiple users can be logged on at the same time, ensuring no user conflicts and efficient usage.
The CMS includes management of user accounts, so users can be set up with access to the CMS and passwords administered. If you want different levels of permissions, for instance, if you want someone to only be able to update the News and no other section, we can enable this.
Tracking changes and moderation
The CMS includes a timestamp of when a page was last changed and by whom, so you can check when a page was last modified. If you want further control of what is published to your live site and want to be able to approve or reject page changes before they go live, we can include our moderation module.
Multiple languages, multiple locations
The CMS is able to work with multiple languages and/or multiple locations – for instance, if you wanted to display different content to an audience in the USA vs the UK. And if you want to have separate pages for different locations, we can use IP address lookup to automatically take them to the most appropriate page for their location.
